I recieved a new card trick today featuring glue, er sure you know what I mean. The cards spread with a loudish snap, not good.

Wondered if anyone can recomend a glue name that is quite to spread but strong enough to hold in place. Hope I've been vague enough but not too vague

Not sure if we I am understanding you correctly.......but I often use a product called "Dry-line" and it is available in most office supply stores. It basically is a glue...ish substance you can apply easiliy, and is about as tacky as the glue on sticky post-it notes.......

Goes on with a pen applicator, dries like PostIt™ note glue. Repositionable yet strong.

Should be in EVERY magician's toolbox.

I prefer repositional spray mount. It sprays on, so you need to mask whatever you are applying it to, but I fin dthis works better than any of the blue glue sticks I have tried.

Staples sells it (although be sure you use the "repositional" one...)

We use spraymount all the time at work (3M). My only criticism is that it's very messy, and application isn't precise.

It remains 'tacky' for sure, but because it's so tacky, it's likely to attact dust etc. and will get grubby fast.

The most success I've had is with the genuine Changin' Glue.

Even some cards I prepared about a year ago are still useable.

I use Blue Glue all the time. I works well for me and is nice and accurate meaning it can be well hidden on the faces of cards by just covering the pips etc.

Blue Glue/Changin' Glue is also available at bricks & mortar places like Hobbycraft. Once applied and dried, be sure to dab your finger on the glue several times to remove most of the stickiness - you only need it to be very slightly tacky to hold cards in place and it reduces the risk of that horrible snap, crackle and pop noise.

3M do an adhesive in a stick form that dries like the glue on Post-It pads...it remails tacky and soft...a bit elastic.

I find it better than Changin' Glue and I like that stuff.

I'll dig it out and confirm the name...it's IDEAL!

Hi guys. Surprising how hard it can be to get hold of something simple like glue! Anyway I tried looking for "Post-It Glue Stick" with no luck. Just looked on 3M's site and it is actually called Scotch Restickable Glue Stick. Now I just gotta find some in a shop!

Also I am gonna try Fricto Fluid from Mike Danata.

The 3M stuff I have is called "Scotch Up". It is in an orange tube like a big (20mm dia) Pritt stick.

It appears to have come from France. The address is...

That blue glue stuff is also sold under the brand name Zig Glue. Appears to be exactly the same stuff as Changin Glue. (ie blue when wet, clear when dry)

Anyone played about with finding the best glue to use with Daniel garcias Fraud effect. Without giving anything away I am refering to what is moved across the bill ?
