I think it was started sometime in 2004. I haven't been doing it that long, just a couple weeks, but I read an interview the creator gave discussing it.

It started out with just a few levels and has grown since then. At certain points, he's even used riddles submitted by people who played the game - which is a pretty cool thing.

try to enter the password again, you need to keep a text file of what you did to get that far, in case it happens again

Ha, I stormed through the first 7 levels, 8 held me up for a day until I realised I was overcomplicating it slightly and now I am on 9 and am struggling, oh well, it can't be that hard.....

14 now, my housmate and I sat down and got through 9-12 in an hour or so, 13 took a bit of doing and so far 12 seems totally cryptic. I'm not sure if there is a hidden clue I am yet to find, but so far I don't even know what to use the google bar for!

By the way, if you are thinking of cheating, I read that there are some usernames and passwords out on the web that lead into dead ends and might screw with your chances of actually progressing the game at all!

Yep, got 14, it al becam clear a little later. I haven't put much effort into 15 yet though, and to be honest I'm not quite sure where to start. It's going to be a couple of days till I get round to trying it again though.

I don't think you'd need any help with 15 anyway
