The Flipit Move

Postby Blade Master » Sep 11th, '05, 21:13

Hey, can anyone give me some tips on how to do this. I have both Gregory Wilson's version and Oz's Emerge Triumphant. However I can never get the packet to flip.

Tilt the deck around 30 degrees clockwise as the starting position. When you flip the deck, try to move your hand to the left very slightly.

The whole move does not require you to throw the pack at all. It's pure air pressure as Oz calls it.just drop the deck with the pinky break and it should work. This move is mainly a knack, and once you get it down, it's a great move and can be used for colour changes and many other things.

I don't think this is revealing too much because you'll need to know the move to be able to understand what I'm saying here.

So your saying to drop your hand diagonall down-left at a 30 degree angle? :D

What I'm saying is to tilt the deck in you left hand. So instead of the back of the deck facing parallel to the ceiling, the deck is slanted with the left long side higher than the right side. This aids with the catching of the cards greatly. e.g. if you want to do a DL with the flippit move, you'd want to catch it square and tilting the deck helps greatly!

Well, I have got it to the point that I can flip half the deck with 95% accuracy. Still can't do DLs though...

The main trick I found was not to throw the deck up. For an hour or so, you will keep fiddling with it and trying to get it - but then it will work.

Another trick I found was that if I cover the top left corner with my thumb, when I drop the deck it gives it a lot more spin so makes the change go quicker...

Here's just a clip I made of the flippit move. I did a colour change first then a DL second as you can see.
