When I said 'I know,' I didn't mean that I knew the answer. It was merely a phrase that answered everyone that would have asked me to butt out.

The post should have just read:

Why?

Why on Earth would you want the music from Born To Perform or Penguin? Get out there, buy yourself some instrumental music on CD and experience some culture! Find something that reflects what you want it for.

Of course, I'm assuming you want to use it for performing...

Heaven forbid anyone should actually sling together an actual, real-life, working routine...

Thanks for your help but if I want tips on culture I'll ask.

Please don't ask for tips on culture. Find culture. Experience it. That's what I was on about.

Personally, I can't think of anything worse than listening to advertisement music - BY CHOICE

Culture Culture Culture!

Postby Ollivanders_382 » Sep 19th, '05, 04:50

Actually I’m doing ok in the culture department; books, museums, music, I’ve got it all covered. Just found that one song quite catchy, sorry it got you so fired up mate. But thanks for your concern! On a side note I can suggest plenty of things worse than listing to ad music, if you’re coming up a bit short give me a heads up and I’ll help you out. Thanks again!

Like reading a dictionary? You'd enjoy a dictionary, I reckon. One long LIST of words. Helps you spell correctly, too.

Mods - please don't tell me off for this one. I've been SO good recently... (flutters eyelashes)

I'm not sure I understand why you're pushing me so hard to get a dictionary. Do you sell them or something? I've got a few so I don't really need one. I would like to say how grateful I am Zack; since joining this message board you've taken the time to worry about both my exposure to culture and now my access to alphabetical reference works! It warms the cockles of my heart to see how dedicated a senior member, such as yourself, is concerned with ensuring that a new member feels welcome! Again, thank you very much Zack! You're a fine example for the rest of us.

No I don't sell dictionaries. It's because you spelt the word 'listening' incorrectly as 'listing' in a previous post. From this somewhat obvious and embarrassing error on your part, I thought a dictionary may well prove useful to you. A concise dictionary can be purchased for a meagre sum - much cheaper than tuition in English, anyway. :D

Please, don't thank me.

Zack-mac,

This whole post has been about LISTING. As in the proper music to listen to while making LISTS of thinks. Honestly, if you can't keep up with the conversation you shouldn't say anything.

Ps. Zack-mac I thought the British were supposed to be overly polite and self-effacing and us Americans were supposed to be brash and rude. What gives? Thanks again for all your help you've really added alot to this post.
