I am probably being incredibly dim.

I am trying to send a PM to a moderator and it sticks in my outbox. I have sent them before without any trouble.

What have I done wrong??

It stays in the Outbox until the person you sent it to has read it.

As soon as they open it, it moves to your Sentbox. That way, you know when someone has read a PM you sent them.
