Does anyone have any experience of Paul Harris' effect "The One and Only"?

I like this effect and enjoy doing it, but because nothing is examinable it doesn't please the purists.

If you like Paul Harris products I think you'll like the envelope that lies at the heart of the routine, with its capacity to be personalised and its inbuilt cues to get you to the required card. Add a touch of clever verbal equivoque and you have a satisfying piece of magic for a pretty modest price.

I have it and don't like it. The cards look cheap and the envelope didn't convince me one bit. There are better ways of achieving this effect in my opinion.
Sorry i can't go into detail. Not on my pc and running out of time.

Some people love this effect, others hate it. Personally, and it's just a personal opinion mind, I don't like it. Perhaps I got a dodgy gaff, but mine's started to fall apart - although they can easily be fixed. I don't have any problem with the cards themselves, but just can't get the routine down properly and have trouble handling the envelope itself. There's some great thinking gone in to it, no doubt about it, but I think I'll stick to Heirloom.

 i would agree with all the above, i have the astonishment series and one and only. however, without trying to sound cocky, i have tweaked the script a little, and i can use 8 outcomes, e/g 4 of the double backed cards, ( i apologise if the purists think I'm giving 2 much away there). by doing this i can place the cards into my normal wallet and have an effect similar to heirloom. it mite be worth getting it 2 see what you can come up with.
