I'm afraid that's not the way it works, you will need to buy a trick or book that explains it. When you know how we will be pleased to offer advice on improving your technique, however.

Isn't the OP asking where he can get hold of a resource to teach himself the paddle move? I don't think he's asking how to do it. I learned it by watching video clips and watching discussion threads carefully so I can't offer any advice regarding a DVD or book in which it's taught.

Hi

I bought a cheap set of colour changing knives of eBay which cost me about £3.00 and they had full instructions on the paddle move.

Failing this buy a http://www.penguinmagic.com/europe/product.php?ID=895 as this includes instructions plus you will get access to a training video on the site.

Hope this helps

Dean

The majority of cheapo kids magic sets will have a paddle of some description and full instructions for its use. :D

At least they did when I was a kid !

Paddle move

Postby sillystu » Sep 28th, '05, 16:42

Many thanks Dorian and Hodgkinson. Both a great help. I actually looked in a book from Marvins magic hat that i found in a charity shop and an explanation was in there. With that and the video i have just left my wife and son wide mouthed in the kitchen after baffling them with a hot rod. Woo-Hoo success. Many thanks again. Any other tips or tricks would be appreciated.
