Hi again Mike,

Apparantly, there is a disease widely spread by magicians to magicians. Its called CUPS.
Compulsive Unnessecary Purchase Syndrome, and sadly, I suffer from it. Generally with magic, you need to be patient to practise, which I am, but if i see something, and I can have it there and then (i.e, a download) then theres no stopping me. I still havent got Bobos book yet, but I have had some dvd'd from Michael Ammar on threads and coins.

I see your a WP, I'm joining my local cirlcle soon, hopefully will have an audition for it in a few weeks, so within the next 2 years, I hope to be doing it professionally too :?

Bye for now
Mark

Revolution vanish

Postby nikookin » Feb 16th, '05, 17:04

lots of people seem to be disappointed in secret of the vanish. when you know the secret its so simple that you feel you were ripped off. imagine the person that bought the penetrating elastics for say $10 dollars only to find 2 cents worth of elastics (and the secret of course).
Remember how you felt when you first seen the elastics trick ?
Remember how you felt when you first seen the video of the Revolution ?
it was good enough to purchase then.
We buy the effect not the trick.
you make a coin vanish and you are clean afterwards what more can you want?

Just my opinion of course

Revolution

Postby silapmata » Feb 17th, '05, 13:38

Actually Revolution is a good tricks although use "old" method but with the explaination & guidance of the videos it is worthwhile to buy it. Simplicity doesn't mean it is less value, if u really practice it the tricks is quite awesome.

Hi, I have this trick. I bought it because of curiousity, in my oppinion, the price they set for that kind of trick is too expensive. Once you bought, and download it for 12hours (I have 56kbps modem :) ) then the next morning you watch it, you'll be dissapoint it. But once you master it, it's a nice trick. If only it gets cheaper.

I have had revolution for a long time and have loved it. I have also seen many magicians complain about the simplicity. Have u ever considered simplicity is a good thing?

If its simple to do the move, then you are totally clean to elaborate, thats something special - and totally impromptu.

No way this was a rip off

Postby oliverjohnston » Nov 5th, '05, 21:39

I think that this trick was really good value for money. Ok, at first I thought that I had wasted my money because the trick was so simple, but then I realised that the simplicity was exactly what makes this trick. For £10 ($17) it is a bargain. Also, it allows you to invent completely new tricks based around this idea.

Btw. No gimicks, pulls, special coins etc. are needed. Not even a waistband is needed! Everything you use can be fully examined. All you need is a coin and an audience (maybe not even an audience is necessary, as performing it infront of the mirror is also quite satisfying)!
