umm, my friend is making me a site, what should i host it on? geocities, or what

Well, depends on what you put on it, and how serious you are. Speaking for myself, I host it myself.

if its comercial check with your provider that its ok or you could end up with a big bill.

i always think that a magician's website not be hosted at a free site, but others may disagree.

is it a site? forum? i assume it's about magic?

Best bet if its a small personal site is to use 123reg.co.uk or somthing like that. Thier service and Technical Support is by no means great but for the price you cant grumble!

DON'T!! I have already ranted about this earolier, so I won't again. Make your site, and buy a host if it is professional. If its just for you for fun, make it on anything you want

yeah, go out and do a little research and go find a cheap webhosting site. BUY IT, better than those free things. i use my just to store stuff on the internet (i.e pictures)

So to summarize what has already been said here, what you should use really depends on what you want it for. If you are just making a website for fun and to host some basic stuff, use something like freewebs.com or geocities.com.

If you are making a professional website or you want something that looks a lot better, it's probably worth it investing some money in buying your own domain...

If you want a good free host that actually lets you make your site then try Swifthost.Net I think it is. I'm not sure

try www.maxpages.com , thats what i use, and try www.photobucket.com to create a <img> url to upload photos to your site
