Cash Card

Jesse Feinberg's Cash Card

Available from: Hank Lee Magic http://www.hanklee.org/xcart/customer/s ... g=feinberg

Price: $ 19.95

Category:: Close up

Angles: Not too bad angle-wise…near 180 degrees in front of the performer

Difficulty: 2 out of 5

They say:
The props are the simplest. A playing card from a Bicycle deck and a borrowed dollar bill.
Show both items openly and fairly. Fold the dollar bill and slide the card inside the fold. No way for the card to get out without tearing the bill.
Yet, in a moment of magic, the card penetrates right through the bill! It looks like real magic. Hand the bill back to its owner, they will find absolutely no damage.
The method is brilliant. Really beyond brilliant. And, so easy to do. I promise you will love it. You have never seen anything like it.
I want you to watch the video. Watch it several times. The method is invisible. And, it looks even better in real life than on the video!
Priced very low. So, you can get two and give one to a friend!

I say:
A sweet visual penetration effect from the prolific fingers of Jesse Feinberg.

The video on Hank Lee’s site tells the story really.

The gaff is very well made and set up for “doing the do” to a $1 (one US dollar) bill. With very little difficulty one could use this gaff as the blueprint to make up “cash cards” in most national currencies.

The effect is easy to do and needs little in the way of traditional sleight of hand skills. For full examination you will need to do a card switch but the nice thing is that, for a moment the spectators eyes will be more concerned with the banknote you borrowed from them and then sliced in two!

The instructions are pretty complete in terms of the workings but you will need to integrate your own style and patter…not too tough really.

Overall:
Cheap, cheerful and eminently entertaining close up fun!

Ok after seeing the video I have changed my mind. I showed it to a bunch of people and they all said it looks like he simply holds the card behind the money and then pretends to pull it through so they are not impressed. I was hoping for a more amazing looking effect. No reaction from people means off my list.

Being from Canada, I find that you lose some of the effect when you "just happen to have an American dollar in your pocket?" But from what I understand (and correct me if I am wrong) I would be able to adapt this into a Canadian bill with out any problem? How about comprimising the quality of the Gimmick/gaff.......would it be poor quality, or is it simple enough, that I would be able to make my own of same quality with little effort!?

I would appreciate your advice!

Hi Jesse and welcome to TM!

I've watched the vid a few times now and it looks good to me so if the effect can be transferred for use with local currency bills it will be even more attractive.

Folks, we're occasionally lucky enough to get creators of magic offering direct help such as this so don't be shy, contact Jesse and see what he can do for you.
