Best of luck! Nice web site, I'm guessing you'll be adding some more photos to the Gallery in due course? (It's that chicken and egg thing, which comes first on promotional material? The photos of previous events to encourage bookings or the booked events to previously take photos at to encourage bookings......... etc!)

Well done bud ... and good luck.

I'm certainly no professional ... but i would image that local radio would make a great way of advertising ... reaches your prinme market, and its quite cost effective, much more so that a news paper ad or somthing like that.

People dont often think about booking a magician for a party ... so use the radio ad to plant that seed in their brain.

Maybe busking is another good method .. especialy come christmas... spend a saturday on the street with your business cards and doing a few tricks ... you'll get plenty of bookings on the back of that i am sure.

Cheers,

Rob

Assuming you have a street entertainers licence of course!

look at the major companies in your area as they will all be arranging their staff Xmas parties now. I would recommend that you approach them and ask who's aranging it!

I'm not sure about the cost of radio, as I think it's actually quite expensive, but it would definitely reach your target audience of families and especially Mums... you'll find the majority of commercial radio stations target women from 25-44 years old.

Radio isnt that expensive, relative to printed media .... but one benefit of it is that you can usualy set a limit ... so you can give the station a budget .. they will use your advert on a pay-per-play basis untill you reach your budget and then no more ....
