Hello everyone,
I love this forum and I always come here first before I buy a new trick.
Anyway my name is Steve and I found out about this site via Magicweek.
I have been doing magic for about 5 years since I was mesmerised by a magician in a shop in vegas. I saw him doing the spinning card and I had to know how he did it, so naturally I had to by it. Then he showed me scotch and soda, SOLD ! I've been hooked since. I have always been interested in magic but never knew how to take it further until I met this guy in Vegas.
My favourite trick to date still is the scotch and soda with my own routine.
But just lately I am steering clear of gimmicked tricks although some do have a time and a place. I just want to spend time learning the real art. Many times I've been caught on the hop!
At the moment I am trying to master an ambitiuos card routine.
It's fair to say I like close up magic with realistic objects. In my eyes magic is about what you are doing rather than what a fancy and elaborate gimmick is doing.
I look forward to more reviews and feedback

Regards Steve

ps: what do you mean by spinning the card (card throwing? spin on finger? humming bird style kinda thing?)

?!~

For crying out loud, the msn button under my name is to talk about magic with me, NOT A FREE MAGIC GIVEAWAY LINK. dont abuse it

The spinning card trick is also known as the Hummer card or Helicopter card

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Welcome my magical amigo. Sounds like you've got another case of C.U.P.S. (Compulsive Unnecessary Purchase Syndrome) just like the rest of us. I hope none of us ever find the cure.
