The Effect

The performer removes a small packet of cards (Blue backed) from his pocket and place them on top of the (Red backed) deck. It is brought to the attention of the spectators that these cards all have holes in them. One of the cards is then chosen to become the 'Patient' and its 'Donor' is then removed from the deck. For example, if the card with the holes in was a blue backed 3 of diamonds, its 'Donor' would be the red backed 3 of diamonds from within the deck. The performer then performs his magical 'surgical' proceedure on the cards and it is then shown that the blue back card has been completely healed, and the places where there used to be holes can now be seen to have red circles instead! The original red backed card is then shown to have taken one for the team, and now has the four holes created by being a donor to the other card!

Cost

£5.39 from penguinmagic UK <click here to visit> Being from penguinmagic, you also recieve a free instructional video on how to perform it.

This price also include another trick called Telescopic Card Case, which i will post a review for as soon as i learn how to do it!

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

1, if you can take cards out of your pocket, you can do this trick!

Review

This is an excellent effect that i feel anybody of any skill could do! It also gets some great reactions as you can hand out the whole deck and the two cards that you were 'Operating on' at the end of the trick! It has been designed so that you can do it at any point during your performance as long as you are using a normal pack of red bikes! And the fact that you get two tricks for the price of one is even better! This is one that im definitely gonna save room in my pockets for!

Overall

I'd give this trick a 9.75 out of 10. The 0.25 is because at one point during the performance, the spectator may be able to see a slight manufacturing error. But it is very small and the spectator would have to have the eyes of some kind of giant super spider to actually notice it!
