I had an idea about doing the match-to-flower trick, but then giving the flower away to one of the spectators.

Of course, you can't directly give away the trick match, but my idea was to carry a look-alike real flower with you so that you can switch the trick flower with the real one.

Any suggestions on how to pull this off? My idea was to pocket it in my coat. But quickly excuse yourself, and say "Wait, where are my manners" or something to that effect, and then take out the look-alike and set it on the table, or give it to the spectator.

Any thoughts?

my first thought would be "why didnt i just stick this on the end of the other thread i started about match to flower!"

then my second thought would be "yeah thats a good enough motivation for switching the flower"
