Suppliers of effects.

Not sure if this is in the right section so Mods please move if it isn't.

I've been looking around at lots of effects (not tricks necessarily) and, with my theatre background, I have been surprised at the high prices charged by some magic suppliers because you can get the same thing from theatrical suppliers at a much lower price (although there may be a minimum order value).

Now, I'm not into knocking magic suppliers nor advertising for others but if anyone wants a decent link, then send me a PM.

Tonight I have been rehearsing a song about policemen dressed as women. Sorry, just had to add that - cos I'm strange! I enjoy my fantasy world!

Much love. Kryzal x

What kind of "effects (not tricks necessarily)" do you mean? I'd love to know if I can buy props etc from a different source at a cheaper price - especially if they're designed for stage use.

I figure you're not talking about decks of Bicycle cards or sponge balls - and similarly I don't think theatre suppliers would be selling large-scale illusions such as zig-zag-lady or sawing-a-woman-in-half...

Give us a clue!

I'm talking about special effects (although some magic is available from these suppliers but may not be cheaper than elaswhere). By that I mean pyro supplies etc. Fog, lighting, smoke, shooting wands, flash paper, cotton etc.

Sorry, my friend but I don't have a Canadian link. I do have a link to a supplier in the Uk but the import may (or may not) be prohibitive. There must be suppliers in Canada (theatrical supplies not magic supplies) because the manufacturer is "close by".

Good luck and remember than flash paper gets very hot! - But so do chillies and we still eat them.

OK so now I do! Send me a PM for the link (it's international not just Canada but has a specific area for Canada - I can't test because I'm not in Canada and it may block)
