fyi i am brand new to the sight so excuse me if i sound wierd. I am dying to get the floating card trick. How long does it take to be able to do the floating card trick? not master perfectly but be able to do 50% of the time. ya know when ya start having fun with the trick and actually can make the card float

i would really appreciate any responces

There are a number of factors that may, or may not effect how quickly you can perform a trick, whether it's a floating card or anything else.

It must be noted that you should never perform any trick that you can only perform successfully for part of the time. One of the worst things is going out to perform something, knowing that there is a fair chance that you will be caught out, and therefore expose the secret.

If an when you do get hold of the floating card then you must make sure that you can perform it repetatively without slipping up. Only then should you begin to perform it in front of others.

One last point before you ask, please don't ask for and guidance on how this, or any trick is performed (which I'm glad to say you haven't) as this is not a site for revealing secrets. Otherwise, you're welcome to look around and enjoy

You can make one float with an ITR. or get hold of The Art Of Close Up Levitation by The Underground(Jon Jensen & Steve Fearson) and check out page 19/21. Face Off by Dan Harlan. A card floats off the dace, face on, and hovers in the air. NO threads. Takes 5 mins to make.Can't remember where I purchased the book from (might have been Alakazam) The trick is on the market as Hover Card and i think it's in JB Magic's catalogue. The cost is nearly the cost of the whole book.
