The method seems easy enough, and the effect does look pretty good.

The only problem I have with it, is that the signed coin is turned over in order to perform the effect. Naturally, this is necessary, given how the trick is done - but that just seems like it would arouse a bit of suspicion.

I would have to try it on a few spectators to really be sure, though.

Sankey always says his effects are fully "examinable" when he means you switch the gimmick out, god bless him.

P.s anyone want to buy an examinable ID £20 :D

I saw the video and ofcourse I also found out the method...not my style...and yes...sankey has that "everything is examinable" (after you switch the gimmick) kind of marketing...

I don't understand why people get on Sankey about marketing effects as examinable.

Yes, sometimes his effects involve a switch. However, the presentation, handling, method and psychology of it leaves the spectator believing they examined every part of the effect before and after. If the spectator can examine it before the effect happens, and after the effect is done - it's examinable. Plain and simple.

Where can I see the demo vid please?

Sounds like an interesting effect but one I want to see before purchasing, especially at £20. I have an idea how it may be done, though.

You can see a demo at magictricks.co.uk. I think the effect looks quite cool, but I think it doesnt look or feel like one of sankeys effects. I dont know why though.

I showed the demo video to some people and they were not amazed as they all said that he switched out the signed coin. To me it is al too obvious when you turn the coin so they can't see the initials.

Not an amazing trick really, seems like a bit of a gag to me.

I completely agree with the turning the coin so you can't see the initials. Surely if you could do it with the initials pointed out then you would every time?

Nah I don't like the look of that one. It seems to unnatural. If you could see the signature on the coin while it is through the card, then great, but as is, it is a little bit weak. Sorry Sankey :).

Plus you can see the FD at the start, and the CP to swap the coin at the end.

But in performance you'd obviously down play this and wouldn't draw attention to the turn around/switch of the coin. I agree though, it's not Sankey's most impressive effect - it looks impressive but I think people would treat it more as a stunt than actual magic. I may be wrong, but I think I'll pass on this one.
