My Show Reviews

Postby jagsmagic » Nov 7th, '05, 10:30

Hi all

as posted in my last review i had a show Sunday which involved stage and table hopping

thanks to all that were concerned this show went totally great, i started with table hopping for the first hour then was on stage for 40 mins performed a few trick also using members of the audience..it went great

so to say they have again booked me 2 weeks from now to perform again, they wanted me next week but i said i just need a little more time to perfect a few illusions-they were happy with that :D

the only problem we had was the sound, there techi could not get the sound sorted, :( but other then that it went real great and of course when i did some close-up in table hopping- well that always work a treat especially when combined with the stage

thanks to you guys as well :D

Well done. It sounds like it was fun, and if you got a future booking from it then it must have gone well...

It sounds like you had a great time. A word to the wise, though: Always do a sound check way before the gig.

Hey Jags - well done and so pleasing to hear that it not only went down well but you got a re-booking.

I remember a great commedian from years ago called Les Kellet (I'm sure a few others will remember him as well) and he did a fantastic routine around a duff microphone that was hilarious to watch. The skill was that the microphones wasn't broken at all   Brings back smiles just thinking about it.

Wasn't that Norman Collier? I though Les Kellet was a wrestler on the good old Saturday afternoon ITV World Of Sport progs?

So true! I started getting romantic with Mrs.Mandrake last night and she reponded by pushing me away and saying, 'You've had that, mate!' And the funny thing is, I can't remember it at all!

Anyway, back to the plot - congrats Jags, nice to hear it went well for you!

didn't lez denis and that guy who used to do chalky white jokes do something similar.
jags the dodgy sound certainly would have put the grimp in one of my suggestion's.
what about adding the card prediction in your next show, I'm glad it all whent well for you, mistakes wether by you or circumstances ar all part of the learning experience.
consider shoots cultural exchange I/II dvd's for ideas for magic without sound it may open up new lines for you to try.

Oh, and magicdiscoman, Chalky was one of Jim Davidsons standard characters.
I wouldnt ever recomend that anybody uses those gags these days. They were far to near the line then.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....
