flower boxes from paper bag

Postby MagicTom » Nov 15th, '05, 21:27

Effect: The magician shows an empty paper bag. After some fun with abracadabara he pulls out 3 see boxes with paper flowers inside.
May sound a little basic - yes....but a fantastic reaction.

Cost: - Fairly cheap. I have seen it for £30ish but i got mine on ebay for about £10.

Difficulty: Really easy. Takes some carefull preparation before the trick to create the best effect. A little bit of practise and you'll be there.

My Review:

Yet another simple, basic trick with a fantastic effect and reaction. I like to use it with my vent character - I say that i had put 3 boxes in the paper bag and i think he's hidden them. etc

The trick basically works itself. A little practise is however required. Preparation is easy with a little common sense!
Fantastic for a begginer. I say it would suit most ages. Probably best for children but it has proved popular with the elderly too. (Well in my case)

Lots of routines available such as with a vent charcater, lost 3 boxes, Have a few other props in bag and use as a comedy effect. (Pretend you are looking for something - Pull a few things out then pull out a box, then another, then another and then maybe from up your sleeve or from your "PALMED" position pull out your prop!

OVERALL

The best way to describe it is what i said before.

"Yet another simple, basic trick with a fantastic effect and reaction"

Nice review. I find it funny since I JUST saw this trick demo'd in a store yesterday, and here's a review of it!

Nice job.

Flower Boxes

Postby Allen Tipton » Nov 19th, '05, 11:46

:) It is indeed a very pretty effect. The size of the boxes make it. Based on the old Reticules From The Hat(See Prof. Hoffman & old Will Goldston catalogues) but much improved with transparent boxes containing flowers. You have to watch which versions you buy. The original Dream Boxes are very strong and well made. Beware of a cheaper version which I believe is a rip off. JB Magic has a smaller version which is useful. Well made and well worth the £10.

Yea, mine are fairly well made - I was expecting the whole trick to be a little bigger but am very pleased with the effect.

Dream Bag/Flower Boxes.

Postby Allen Tipton » Nov 19th, '05, 17:03

:) The original ones are 8 inches long by 3 half inches wide and 3 and half inches tall.
The smaller ones are just under 6 inches long, and 2 & a half inches by 2 & a half inches.
I do wish dealers would include measurements in all products if possible.

I performed this today at a kids birthdya party - They loved it. It was the first public performance of this trick and it went down rally well.

I did it with my vent teddy bear who i do a short comedy routine whilst performing the trick with him.

Went down reallyu well, got a fab response for the whole show. Kids and parents all happy - RESULT!

Dream Bag/Boxes

Postby Allen Tipton » Nov 20th, '05, 18:01

:) It's even pretty if you produce a 12" silk from the bag appropriate to the colour box that follows. And it makes a bigger production.
