Torn and Restored paper

Postby MagicTom » Nov 21st, '05, 17:39

The Effect

The magician shows a strip of paper. I always use half an A4 piece of paper with some words printed on it such as "Happy Birthday"
He proceeds to rip the paper into several small bits. He then places them on top of each other in a pile. He folds them into a small square.
The audience do the magic by blowing on it / saying a magic word. (Optional)
Finally the magician reveals that the paper has totally restored itself (with the printed words too)

Cost

Well, You need 1 piece of A4 paper.
I'm sure you can find instructions on the net somewhere I'm sure.

Difficulty
3=Some sleights used,
Fairly easy and self working.
Carefull and acurate Preparation needed.

Review
I love this trick simply because its easy to perform yet it amazes people.
This suits all ages young children through to adults. You can probably adapt this trick to perform with a £5 note. etc??
However, you do have to be careful of light conditions. If the light is shining on a particular position then the trick will easilly be given away.

The best thing about this trick. It cant go wrong that easilly. If it does you can cover it up most of the time but with careful preparation and set up before hand it shouldnt go wrong.

For gospel magicians out there, this can be a gospel illustration aswell.

You might have noticed i am a great fan of easy tricks that amaze people. Why make life difficult?

Overall

When i first saw this even i was baffled. I am not used to seeing / performing paper tricks. I loved it.
I was then tought it and have always used it in my shows since.

I highly reccomend it as a small trick to add into your show.
