Kemo, many others have not only noticed this but commented on it.
First of all, yes, magic is male dominated. But certainly not exclusively male.
Second, as much as can be done is being done to change this.
However, some trades, crafts, and/or professions are dominated by one sex or the other; if it appears a "dead end" for women, it's called "the glass ceiling" or "pink-collar" work.
It's funny that TV news anchors, for example, are virtually all male on U.S. networks and big-market channels; women claim they are frozen out.
However, in Britain, I am given to understand that it is an area predominantly held by women, who claim that they are being "ghettoized" by such action!
So it simply proves that -- well, you can't win!
