Forthcoming Ventriloquism Talk/Lecture

Postby puppet man » Nov 27th, '05, 18:37

I have been asked to give a talk/lecture on Ventriloquism for one of the UK based Magical Societies in 2006.
I have an idea of some of the topics/subjects that I could/should cover, however, I don't want to miss some of the things people might like to know more about.

As well as it being entertaining, with a few of my selected kiddies and adult routines slotted in for demonstration purposes, I want to concentrate on the here and now aspects of how everyone who can talk, has the potential to learn & use ventriloquism. Also how introducing a puppet or two into a children’s show gives an extra dimension, plus makes your show more memorable. Even if the performer hasn’t learned vent, how a puppet can still be manipulated to give fantastic entertainment.

I was looking to get some feedback (imagine you were attending a talk on vent/working with puppets). What you would like to be covered? or expect to be covered within this talk/lecture?

Like I said, I have a long list of subjects I should/could cover.. I worry that I’ll miss some of the things people might be expecting to discover more about. You’re feedback will help me enhance it so people get more than they are expecting.

Even if you just have a question, no matter how obvious you might think it is, please throw it my way… It could very well be that even a few general questions on Ventriloquism, or performing with puppets, or using the vent voice will add a “completeness” to the talk/lecture.

Many Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Best Wishes

Karl
