I am trying to get to grips with the cull shuffles as laid out on pages 78 to 83 of "Expert at the Card Table". I have had no problem with the two, three and 4 card culls or the culls whereby a run of three single cards follows a card to be culled. My problem is however that I am struggling with cards that are back to back. For example cards situated 4,1,4,1. I have found that with culls where only two cars are together the standard option of running the cards through as one set isn't working. I have found that two cards together in first position i.e. (4,1,4,5) require you just to throw on top after the in jog-out jog break, (4,5,1,5) requires a run of one card after the in jog-out jog break and 4,5,4,1 is still a mystery to me. Does anyone know why I'm going wrong or a formula for cull shuffling when two cards are found togeher at different points in the run of cards to be culled. Sorry this is so technical but I am about 15 hours in and am starting to lose imagination. Thanks. PB
