i never got strong reactions with that, my strongest one is nfw

my strongest reactions i get from a trick similar to the hitman... nothing hard just a couple glide slights and one force the rest is in the presention and time miss direction

Strongest reation I get is when I perform "Spooked" by Nick Einhorn. Its a haunted pack effect, and I always use it as my closer.

Its wierd that it is the biggest reaction bearing in mind that other stuff I do during my routine is 100 x harder!

I always get good ones from 2 card monte. and massive confusion from a 3 card monte routine (with just 3 cards, ending with a packet switch).
i find mentalism type effects get more "oo, that's magic" reactions.
i got a good reaction last night by sitting around the card table twiddling a poker chip then just doing a french drop with it, then a spider vanish, do magic when no-one's expecting it! that gets some interesting reactions, or mass confusion, at which point, hit with a mentalism bit!

There are just so many magic tricks that get a great reaction, a lot of it depends on the people you are performing to.

Table hopping with kids present, then a simple effect like the magic bunnies can't be beaten.

CMH is also always a killer effect, I've never had anything short of a great reaction with that.

I frequently end my table hopping act with Sankey's "In a Flash". That has everything, plus the advantage that your cards are ruined which gives you good reason to finish as well.

Another great closer for table hopping is Peter Marucci's "Anytime Card to Wallet". I start my set by placing a card under the salt or pepper pot (or anything on the table) saying it is my emergency card. Then, when the signed card from the closer effect can't be found, I suddenly seem to remember this card that has been on the table the whole time.

When they see that it was their signed card, that had been sitting there the whole time - well I tell you, that's the closest I get to L&L reactions.
Sometimes the simplest effects really are the best and it adds a certain amount of continuity to a routine, and I like that...

Other really strong effects I would include, Shuffle Bored, OOTW, and Bannons Degrees of Freedom. I also love effects using Aronson's undo principle.

The strongest reactions though probably comes when doing a mentalism set. I wouldn't like to give a "best" effect, as I feel that to get the strongest reactions with mentalism it's simply down to the presentation. They ALL can be really strong.

Sponge rabbits for me.

Next is my ambitious card to joker's wild (with Ace of Spades) to finding a card with two aces (not sure of the name) routine.

Then out of this world.

Sponge Balls.

Err... can't think now lol.

Maybe armspreads but they aren't exactly tricks.

i get best reactions with ACR jokers wild, 4 of a kind, and king thing mainly

It all depends on who and where the person is

Sometimes I get great reactions with Belly of the Beast, sometimes I don't

But the best reaction I always get is the Biddle Trick

I cant really put them into and order of 'best reactions', because i perform one for some people and they dont seem to be quite as impressed as somebody else who rolls around on the floor with laughter or runs around in circles like a headless chicken!

But the effects i have had some great reactions with in the past are:
