Ultimate Card Through Window

Postby The Last Deck on the Left » Dec 4th, '05, 18:08

Hi guys,

Not sure if I should admit this - but if I can't find a review here, I sometimes head over to Magic Bunny. (I'm not registered there though :D )

Anyway, here is a rather less than glowing review for Ulitmate Card Through Window DVD. A friend of mine also had similar thoughts, and feels a bit let down, especially after his negative feelings towards the rather non-impromptu nature of Eric's MELT effect - a lot on this DVD appears to be the same - i.e. needing quite a lot of prep.

As for Infusion - I have learnt a very similar effect from a book that was on sale to the general public in one of those top-end gift shops - like the sort in National Trust houses or Castles. It was next to those old fashioned wooden toys and puzzles:

"Coin & Banknote Tricks" by Bruce Smith - ARCTURUS

I must point out that it is NOT the same trick, and doesn't look quite as good, but it is VERY similar and will give you a feel for it, to see if it suits you. Plus this book only cost me 99p!

Amazon are selling it for 99p too!

It's a great little book to start you off in coin magic - plus they do Card / Handkercheif / Ropes & Rings books in the same series!

gah.... ultimate card thru window, i think its not pratical enough. im just gonna set it aside for now.

but for infusion, i have a feeling i know what he is doing (the hand is faster then the eye)

but i read that glass is decently good, but it has a couple stupid tricks that wont be useful like UCTW, but overall its pretty strong,
so i bought it (GAHHHHHHHHHH C.U.P.S)

im dying of cups
...
well at least my bank account is

Ok I have heard that Glass is not bad, but they recommend you get the props that go with it, and Mercury is supposed to be ok. They say its kinda like the Asher Twist in effect but way easier. As for Infusion allot of people are complaining that they spent the money but when they learnt how to do it they felt cheated as the move was so bloody simple. It takes all of 2 minutes to learn. And as for UCTW there seems to be no middle ground either they love it or hate it.

50 Ways To Rock A Lighter?

Just go to www.lightertricks.com for 709 Ways... and counting apparently.

If you look at the A-Z Index, there are all the tricks that are included on the DVD, plus there's a basic techniques section on the website too.

And don't worry, it's not stealing, as most of the stuff on there is done by Alex Aarvik himself.
