What a difference the lighting makes!!!

I take back what I said in my earlier posts, as it's now obvious that the video quality is what detracted from the effect.

If I'm following what you're doing, now - this is VERY well done. Excellent job!!!

That's much better.

Although I still believe if you can do it showing the actual flight of the coin, it'll be much more convincing and a much better effect as a whole!

It's not really like a shuttle pass, because a shuttle pass is faking to put the coin in the hand, the Pitch is actually doing it :D

No, I agree with you kirko - nobody seems to know this move.

ALSO EDITED BY MOG

Greg Wilson does it in On the Spot I think...

I don't know about everyone else but I am starting to grasp the idea of this move now...

However, it seems to me that the shuttle pass is alot easier and does "pretty much" the same job (I know that you don't actually transfer the coin with the shuttle pass but done properly it looks like you do and no-one will know the difference). Seems like a lot of effort for something when the shuttle pass would be much easier. Also, i think it looks slightly suspicious that your hand is clenched hold palmed coin whilst your placing the other one into your hand, - just looks wierd to me.

By the way, I'm rubbish at coin magic, therefore probably completely invalidating my opinion but I have seen alot of it.

Witha shuttle pass your recieving hand is dirty all the time, plus, with the pitch i can pitch up to 10 coins, so try to produce 10 coins over and over with a shuttle pass.....

It is taught on on the spot along with some other great tricks and a coins across routine if anyone is interested for the competition!

The version taught on "On the Spot" is not the preffered method of Sylvester or others that use it, i.e Reed McClintock. It works for Greg and it does work for anyone else who puts enough time into it, but it really isn't the most superior method.

The method demonstrated in the clip by Kirk is the preffered method and I think it looks alot better than the one Greg Wilson uses. The video looked good, but there are two things I would suggest you would change:

1) Producing the coins. At the moment you're producing the coins just to do the move. Granted, you're showcasing the move so it isn't all that important. But don't forget, you're producing a coin from no where, so give it a little more importance. Make a big deal out of it. Also, freeze when you have produced it. At the moment you're moving around and spinning and rotating it and it's difficult to see what it is you have produced.

2) Try to keep your hand in frame. When the important hand goes out of frame focus automatically shifts to your other hand lying by your side, like a dead fish.

Positives: It looks really smooth and you do the move really well. The camera has a nice frame rate so that's obviously not helping you out. Well done chief.
