Hello again chapps,

As i was being slack and didnt pull my thumb out for the competition i thought i'd film this little somthing for you, hope it meets your taste.

I've used my own patter, just to break to mould a little bit, i've never really done it before so let me know what you think.

Its a 10Mb WMV file, you may want to right click and 'Save Target As' if it doesnt want to stream smoothly.

www.wisemansbooks.co.uk/slydini.wmv

Thanks guys,

Rob

Really nice handling. Smooth and good. If I was to correct only the smallest tiny thing, it would be that, you moved your body and hans backwards (for a magician, obvious reasons). Maybe you should have started in this position?! But of course, in a real life performance, you would be talking and gesturing so much more, and noone would ever notice this, it's just very viewable on video.

I concur. Great trick Rob. Once again you have not let us down with entertainment.

Looking at the credits though seemed like you had quite a bit of help in making this video...did you even do any of it yourself?????lol

That was a lovely performance of a very nice trick Rob. Well done.

I don't really think it needs much improvement at all. However, as a magician, I was constantly watching your right hand because to me it looked a little bit suspect. Having said that, you handled it very smoothly and very naturally, so to a lay audience it would be inconsequential.

I think Rune's point about body posture is (without having a go at Rune) unnecessary. It makes sense for you to move backwards and relax as you place the pieces into your hand and I think you handled that very well.

All in all a lovely, quick visual trick that'll knock people dead. All you have to do now is figure out a way of getting set up from a borrowed pack of cigarettes.

All the best,

Will Wood

PS The production of the video was lovely and it was nice to see a video where real effort had gone into it's production. Even if the credits were a bit OTT :) .

Thank you for that Will, much appreciated.

I think Rune's comment was fair enough, it does look a little suspect, but during a live performance it would be masked with casual banter and things like that.

Thanks again everyone,

Rob

I have used this as often as possible, and it is a great "pub effect"....I liked your performance..........but for a somewhat "twisted" look at the overall effect..........

Don't get me wrong, I am so happy that many places are now non-smoking in my country, but sadly, it puts a slight damper on the "impromptu....ness!" of a cigarrette/fag trick........oh well, I suppose ones health is more important than magic anyway!
