I bought this from ellusionist, and had the same reaction as some. How can anything that looks that cool be so stupidly simple? But, you know what? Everybody that I do it for is dumbfounded! They just can't figure it out. And it's actually more baffling to them if you do the slightly longer "finger rubbing" version instead of the "rubbing it into the back of your hand" version. I don't particularly like the change version (where you change the coin into a die or whatever) but I use it to empty my hands after doing the "coin thru can" trick. I place it on the back of my hand and do the trick, saying something like "you know, there's something about coins. I don't know if it's in their base metal composition or what, but once you do some magic with them, they seem to retain some of the magic, and you just never know when they are going to disappear" finishing the patter just as I open my empty hands. It's a great little tag on the end of the coin thru can trick, or any other trick in which you end up with a coin or small object in your hands. This is not the type of trick that should be used as an entire effect, it's mainly just a florish. Yes, I think it's expensive and I probably could have learned it from Bobo, but as a beginner, I want to learn some good looking tricks fast, so I can actually have some fun while I'm working on developing my "real" magic. As they say, "Good, Fast, Cheap.... pick two, you can't have all three"..... Yes, I'm reading Bobo... and busting my knuckles... but this is a good visual vanish that I can use in the meantime... The question you need to ask yourself is, what's it worth to you to be able to easily vanish a coin while you're learning to do it the hard way?
