For all we know, his english could be bad, and not a slang-dude.

Anyway, I don't think you should get Max's videos. If you are new to mental stuff, get osterlind stuff. He's good. Start with the easy volumes, then go for the other ones. There are some really nice routines there.

I fully understand what you're saying rcarlsen, but far too many youngsters get away with poor grammar because their teachers no longer correct them on it and society has simply reached to the point of being far too "Politically Correct" to virtually slap someone up along the side the head (as has been done...thank you!) and tell them to straighten up and fly right before they worry about what else to learn... e.g. start with the basics first!

Aside from that, I would agree... the Osterlind EASY TO MASTER MENTALISM CDs are most appropriate.

I'm afraid that I agree with Craig. From what I see on this and other boards, English appears to be better taught in foreign schools than it is in ours.

What frustrates me:

There being used instead of their.
Wear and whear instead of where.
Not knowing the difference between two, to and too and when to use each.

Me too - us two

The problem is that you see it all too often from adults, not only Children.

Hey, the States is rife with such poor language skills that it oft times seems as if a new language or two are in the development... they claim it's "English" but I'll be danged if the typical 35+ adult can understand any of it.

I'm all for personal expression and being "unique" but such things have become excuses for lethargy and the lack of discipline in one's life, not to mention a general lack of respect for our fellow human beings.
