quesions about D'lights and/or hummer card

Postby eagleeye » Dec 23rd, '05, 03:08

i have just purchaced D'lights and hummer card from dreamland magic and i was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me something about it.

i already know how the trick is done (hummer card that is) except for where the top of the thread is attatched... please if you can help send me a private message

as far as d'lights goes i was wondering if anyone had anything to say on the trick... i have yet to recieve it but i would greatly appreciate some cool things to send the light through (i saw a movie where it went through the digestive track and i thought that was verry clever) any advice would be great.

also i am an O K juggler i can juggle up to 4 balls and 3 pins perfectly and was wondering if there was any way to incorporate juggling into magic besides doing them both at the same show.

Hi

I would recommend using the search function and doing a search for d'lights as there has already been lots of good advice given about routines etc.

Hope this helps

I wonder if you could juggle several of decks of cards? as there are endless possibilities for magic with this.

fellow juggler and d'lite fanatic here.
i never really use the lites as any kind of magic thing, they live in my juggling bag, not my magic one. i find them ideal for dancing (yes, you heard, dancing) with. and i've also had made a gimmick which is basically a d'lite with the switch working in reverse (when pressed, it is off) so that you can do your d'lite bit then actually throw a light from one hand to another, i usually do this after a few minutes once somone has cottened on to what i#m doing, just to throw them off. it's nice!
every juggler needs d'lites.
and learn to body pop, makes the d'lite dancing amazing!

I would try to post something that doesn't explain how a trick is performend. You mention IT, which I personally don't think should be mentioned in such a post...

D'Lites & Juggling & Hummer Card.

Postby Allen Tipton » Dec 26th, '05, 15:57

:) If you got hold of Jay Scot Berry's Fazer Lights (they work like D'Lite but no TT) They can be switched to stay ON so you could throw 1 from hand to hand or juggle 3 switched on ones in the air.You can also drop them in a glass and swirl them round. Very bright. About 1 inch long. They do cost £10 each but last for some 10,000 performances.
He advertised, fairly recently, in either Abra or the Budget as he now lives in Scotland. The Hummer Card: See pages 51 to 54 in Billy McComb's book, Mc. Comb's Magic==25 Years Wiser. £21 The Hummer Card by Jon Jensen £8, both from Magic Books By Post.
