Gigs, gigs gigs

Postby ultimatecreate » Dec 26th, '05, 15:13

Hey all :D

Been doing magic about 2 years on and off, and am now 'catching the bug' practising every spare moment whilst acquiring some powerful routines. I'd love to start some close up gigs as lots of people seem 2 call it (always thought a gig was a concert :S) but have no idea how to start. Do you guys have agents? How much would you charge? Might it be best to do a few 'freebies' in local pubs and bars? How many routines would you take with you, and how long might you spend with each person you perform to? If you could PM me with any details you have about giggin, that would be most appreciated :D

Hope to hear from you soon

Happy holidays!

Alex

There are many exisiting threads on this aspect, the most recent involved questons of what level of fee to ask for when doing restaurant work etc. I'm sure the guys who posted in those threads will soon point you in the direction of those topics for more info.
