Rune,

Following our PM's the other night I went out on Friday and performed this twice and got very strong reactions

How did you get on with my similar version with the Aces and your girlfriend ??

As for your problem you mentioned, it hit me on one of the two occasions I performed it, sods law or what ?? Do you have sods law over there ??

Anyway, when I saw the two cards as I spread them out, the spectators don't spread them well and you have to help a little :? I noticed the problem.

I solved it very easily, on the fly, as you have to do occasionally. PM me if you haven't fathomed it.

This really is a very strong effect. It scores high in my book because you can perform it with borrowed or sticky cards and I like to have a few that you can do under those circumstances.

Yeah, does anyone have a good workaround for this, if you reall wanna have the trick "untouched"? You could always ask the spec to shuffle it more, "nah, this is too easy, shuffle it more" or something...

Rune,

Santa brought me Street Magic by Paul Zenon. While reading through it today I noticed an effect called Sorcerer's Apprentice on page 22.

Its exactly the same as the version of Untouched I developed after our discussion. His get-out of the problem with the first two cards being unsuitable is the same as the one I developed when performing the effect.

Incidentally, I'm still performing this and getting good reactions so if you don't have Untouched and you want it, get Zenon's book. I'll let you know if I find any more crackers in there.

Nice to see that others like this effect. I have included this as part of my regular reportoir. I always get very strong reactions on this routine. It's very strong...

I get this aswell  It's because we are so used to doing it that we do not think that others can not do it well

Sorry for jumping in to this thread with a random comment
