Hehehehehehehhehe
What we often fail to observe is that we should be criticising these shows as 'joe public' and not as experienced magicians. After all, magicians' target audiences are not usually scrutinising magi.
I watched the show with an open mind, and I have to say that in the presence of 5 family members, and it was a far more entertaining hour than we'd had all night. And as I'd expect, none of them asked 'how on earth did they get away with using an ID' etc. BECAUSE NONE OF THEM KNEW WHAT ONE WAS.
The farcical modern Christmas which bears more of a nod towards commercialism than Christianity (How many people here went to Church over Xmas?) has diluted our minds with weak broadcasting of 'Xmas top 100' shows and re-runs of classic movies.
How refreshing, then, to see one of the most famous set of 'Magic Miracles' ever performed being bravely recreated by two modern magicians.
Again, I give it full marks. Firstly, because of its entertainment value. Secondly, for it's creativity. And finally, just because I personally felt that it was an interesting and topical theme on which to base a magic show.
Of course, we're all entitled to our own opinions. If you liked it, fine. If you thought it was drivel, fine. Who's counting?
