I have an invisble deck and I don't like the routine it can with. I have been trying to come up with a new routine to do with it. I would like any ideas for routines with this deck.

Is the routine the normal "take an invisible card"?

Yeah, I know, to you and me and all the other guys reading this, the I Deck is not that great. But to the specs, they love it! Just do it natural, put it away and move on to something else - they'll talk about it for days/weeks/years later. Don't try and do anything clever - just use it for what it is. Trust me!

yeah same, its like the rising card deck. i hate (well more like dislike) performing the I deck and rising card deck, but my audience love it and they do talk about it every time they see me.

Well if you think about it, the ID is a brilliant invention. What are the chances of only a thought of card appearing face up in a deck?

Yep ... i think it can be an excelent effect as it is ... Bill Malone does and excelent version on his "on the loose" series... incredibly entertaining.

The ID is great!

Just because the method is so simple doesn't mean it is c*** (not the best)

that's the way i go, but i feel like too much of a fool doing big gestures with an "invisible" card.

Get some audience experience of using the ID and you'll realise what a great utility it is.

You can't judge an effect on its simplicity. I've been baffling people for years with the ID, and there's always a look of amazement.

YOU are the performer. If it doesn't work, don't use it. Similarly, don't slag it off just because it doesn't fit your criteria of a 'wow' effect.

So what is the best way to go from the invisble deck to the visible deck.

The best deck switching method I use is to do non-card magic. Put your deck awayand do something like Crazy Man's Handcuffs, then bring out a different deck. People generally don't notice that you've picked a new deck (unless it's a different colour).

Just another note....

It's been mentioned on here many times before but alot of people only use their ID as an "OUT" for a mistake. Since you're an AH I'm sure you make mistakes like the rest of us and if you do lose a selected card before you had chance to peek it or whatever, then you can ask them what it is and do the ID revelation. This is how I use my ID, but I don't carry it with me very often.
