TV Magic of 2005
So, what are your overall thoughts about the magic that rolled across our screens throughout 2005? There was the infamous 'Dirty Tricks' which, for it's sins, has kept magic in the public eye for a little longer. As well as this Barry and Stuart have cropped up on our screens in 'When Magic Tricks Go Wrong' and 'The Magic of Jesus'. I can't quite remember what was on earlier in the year.
Paul Zenon magiced us in to the New Year with his 'White Magic' and 2006 looks promising what with Derren Brown's 'The Heist' on soon, and while not magic I think we can count it.
In fact, there's been quite a bit of magic on TV in 2005, and not just on digital, on terrestrial channels as well. No matter what we thought of the programmes it's a good sign that magic is being given what seems like more air time now and that it's beginning to get the recognition it deserves after a short hiatus. Magic is zinging it's way back on to our screens with something for everyone - Derren Brown for the heavier stuff and things like Dirty Tricks for the lighter entertainment; and the nation seems to be enjoying it.
