A few quick tricks

Postby Tony Hyams » Jan 4th, '06, 02:52

Hi all,

just a couple of quick tricks, A Coin Vanish, The bill Switch, and the pass. http://media.putfile.com/Twisted-Reality (not my best pass by the way)

Very well done. Your Revolution vanish was very nicely performed. It's nice to see this particular move look natural and fluid.

The bill change was nice - good handling, and a really nice, open style to the unfolding was a great touch. My only comment is that you are noticeably hiding that left hand. Perhaps work on ways to make this hand look less awkward.

The pass was nice. Even in slow-mo it looked great. I'm afraid I'm all thumbs when it comes to the pass, so I can't comment on technique. But, it looked good to me! Keep up the good work.

Nice vid, but I didn't notice anything with the hand

Keep up the good work :D

Upon further review, I retract my statement regarding the bill change. At one point your left hand moved almost out of view of the camera. Looking at it again, it's unintentional, and just moved out of frame slightly, given how close-up it was.

My apologies - excellent work.

Thanks for the comments, I sometimes use "coin unique" with the "Revolution vanish", First make the penny Vanish then the pound! Good way to get rid of the gimmick. As for the bill switch I would do it with my £5 first, Then ask to borrow one of the spectators, But I would turn thiers into an I O U £5 written on a piece of paper. :D

That's a cool little touch to the bill switch. I might have to snag that one

Along similar lines, have you seen Peter Egginks "Copy Cash"? It's a pretty cool multi-phase bill switch routine. It starts with a blank piece of paper, which turns into a photocopy of a bill, then finally becomes an actual bill. Nice variation, I thought.
