The Effect
In this clever effect, spectators select 3 out of 4 boxes and the performer shows a bag of tokens which match the colors of the boxes. When the people open their boxes, they find "hard luck" notes inside, and the 4th box which was left for the performer, contains the big prize! All of this is done with absolutely NO FORCES!

Review
Gamblers Boxes.
When I first got this I was fairly disappointed, I didn't like the method, the instructions were very brief, the dice is real cheap plastic & because I'd also got a load of other tricks at the same time it went to the bottom of the pile.
Now having come back to it it's grown on me quite a lot. It comes with 4 plastic coloured boxes. Rather bulky to be carrying around. I'm currently looking for 4 colored envelopes to use instead, for now I have written the colours on the envelopes.
And then it is as describes. 3 spectators all choose one number between 1 - 4. You pull from your pocket a bag containing 4 coloured chips. The chips are all numbered between 1 - 4 & are lined up alongside their respective coloured boxes & of course the 1 number that wasn't chosen happens to be the box with the money in it.
I like this as I've been wanting an effect with picking the right envelopes for some time but all the effects I've seen to date have involved jiggery pokery. This doesn't. You can load the money into the envelope in front of the spec & not touch the envelope again, until you collect your money back!
Gamblers Die
This also comes with the props.
Basically you shake the dice inside one of the boxes & you can reveal which number will be top side up. I don't like this one as the way in which you shake the dice in the box just doesn't seem natural to me & if you do the trick several times I'm pretty sure the spec will catch on.
Overall
Gamblers Boxes
This was only £6 & while I won't be using the supplied boxes it's certainly a good method & I like the idea of this trick. Haven't performed it as yet but I think it will work well. The method leads itself to many different effects.
