The modification DOES work, and helps if you've got a local printers who have access to a proper paper guillotine... as there's some precise modification of white post-it pads involved.

Failing that, I can let you have them at cost. The modification involves dismantling the device itself - but the result is that you are easily able to show the item as a regular pad inside a wallet - and there's 4 sheets of paper on top which you can pull out at will. Much cleaner and easier!

The whole shebang is pretty easy to do... and no aadvarks were harmed in the making of this documentary...

Maestro Seige: I'd be interested to hear more about your mods for this. I have a good paper guillotine - would it be easy enough for me to mod myself?

Obviously I wouldn't like there to be much of a risk of messing up the original workings...

I'm afraid that 'a good paper guillotine' ain't good enough...

The one's I'm talking about weigh about 1/2 ton and cost about £20k!!!

They are PINPOINT accurate, and can cut paper like butter - in piles up to 3" thick.

But, if your's can slice a whole post-it pad in one go, then you're laughing...

Upon you PROVING that you own it, I'll PM you with the URL of the modification (along with the long awaited NFW enhancement)

... no, but I was after our 'joke fight' in the lounge last night...

I think that'll have to be a regular occurance... name 2 subjects and have a joke battle - awesome...

The pad needs to be cut very accurately to work. The intricate stuff is done with a scalpel - but you'll need a serious lump of paper at exactly the right size to make it work.

Fear not - my big bro owns a printing company - and he's got the kit to do these for next to nothing.

I'll keep you posted...

Yes a subject based joke battle in the lounge sounds fun. And of course it's very useful for any aspiring magician to have a good knowledge of quick fire jokes on hand. So It would be the responsible thing to do

Blimey this is an old topic, still I have a question.

Does the thought transmitter work with thin playing card if you know what I mean? I don't actually have any thin playing cards so can't test it but if it does is seems like a good idea to me.

Just tried it with a card from a protea 'Phil deck' and the answer is no. The main reason being the 'peek' area is too small. Sorry, but its agreat prop and I thoroughly recommend it. it's so versatile. and can be used in so many different type of effects.

This works really well with the "ID" your spec writes his chosen card in the wallet, closes and secures with elastic bands, hands it back and hey presto you produce your Inv Deck with his thought of card being the only one reversed in the deck, great bit of mentalism, you don't have to ask them to reveal the card with this little beauty!

Yep I know this is an old post, but Id love to see your mods if possible. Another question to those "in the know", Do you have any problems with the "working part" as mine seems to need more violence to get the effect as time goes on ! :?

To each his own. Someone can make a miracle out of it. To me it always hinted of gimmick. Write something down , put it in here, then I'll put it away. Too much handling by the mentalist for my liking. Suggest you consider the Outlaw wallet which in fact is not a wallet but really a business card holder. The peek is a non-fail instant peek. Just a personal opinion. P.S. I did not keep my TT (don't mean thumb t).

No need to put Thought Transmitter away, just pick it up from the spec who wrote the note and pass it over to another spec for 'safekeeping' and opening for confirmation after the reveal. The performer only handles it in transit for a short time which is usually not remembered as significant.
