The Effect Revolution....
An envelope containing six cards is presented. The spectator is asked to mentally select only one card. As they concentrate deeply upon their single choice the cards are returned to the envelope.

It is explained that the envelope once contained the death warrant of the last members of the royal Russian family executed in 1903 and the cards represent their lost souls. All were put to death bar one who was allowed to escape. When the envelope is opened again. There is only one card missing…

This is seriously powerful and un-nerving magic. The spectators’ choice is totally free and never indicated in any way whatsoever. It is an often a deeply unsettling experience for the participant.

This is a perfect trick for a himber wallet, or any card switching device (such as “Switch-a-Roo") or even traditional sleight of hand.

Contains specially prepared gimmicks and detailed routine. This is a deceptively easy, but stunning trick, always ready to go.

Cost £16.50 from emagictricks.co.uk

Difficulty 1 if you have a himber wallet or switcharoo, 3 otherwise
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

Review As with all of Toms effects this is east to do but is VERY powerful in its effect, although it really is meant for use with a switching device it can be done without if your imaginative

OverallAll in all a very good effect 8/10 only because of the need for a switching device

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..
