Yes, thats what were saying. But there are conditions depending on the rights reserved by the originator. In most cases the only performance right reserved by the originator is performance on television. You better believe Sankey didn't get £15 from Copperfield for Airtight.

we are doing quick visual changes as an big opener
colour change
snap change (variations)
shape shifter
etc
Then some card tricks we have bought and some stuff that we have seen.
I will be doing and ACR and Dan will do ACR but with all different moves.
We will be usung gimmick decks for that WOW effect as well as just some sleight of hand.
The only thing that will be getting credited is US and the music.
Were not going to say quick trick performed by Richie Tought by Oz bought from penguin magic.
As long as I have bought the trick I will use it but not expose it.

just curious but are you planning on wearing the baseball caps in the dvd like you wear on your website? also you say on your site that people should Pre order your dvd..does this mean they have to pay for the privilidge of seeing you promote yourself?

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

There is no requirement to credit, unless the license under which you are using the work of others explicilty requires it. Under the circumstances you outline, I doubt it is a problem. Your promo is for laypeople not fellow magicians. They will not be interested in the originator, where as magicians may well be.

You could get around individual credits by providing a general statement.

Something like:

This video is copyrighted material and the material may not be used in any form with out prior permission from the author. Portions of the material presented here are copyrighted by other respective copyright holders. All rights revert to the respective copyright holders.

There are a number of versions of this type of statement. Just look around for one you like.

Note this statement is true, whether you say it explicitly or not.

No, we will not be wearing the baseball caps as on the website.
We are not in character all the time. That is just a picture of the two of us (not performing). But if you look on the pictures page you will see us a bit smarter.
We are not charging for the DVD. Its a DVD so the only way we can send it to a person is if they give us an address. We cant just post it to every address hoping that it will get a response. If the person/company is looking for magicians they can order the FREE DVD to watch.
Thank you for your comments
