I want to get a dvd soon that will help me improve my xcm flourishs spreads cuts shuffles false cuts and some stuff like whats on the system by the twins,can anyone reccomend one to me?thanks

why does everyone just go straight from ellusionist stuff? there's more about. for flourishes, try Jeff McBrides The Art Of Card Manipulation series (although that's stage flourishes rather than fancy cuts).
or, if strapped for cash get ShowOff by MagicMakers, i know it's by far not the best video out there but its easy enough to learn everything on it and it only costs about a tenner. and it has false cuts/shuffles and all that cal on it.

Can we please please not get into another thread about the pro's and cons of Show Off with Cards and it being an MM product, vs other flourish titles.

There's at least two other threads that go on about this and we sure don't need a third.

I don't see that you've made a bad post. Like most people who are new to the site the probability is that if you have a question then it's usually a question that's been asked before.

That's why the search function exists.

Example: People ask for good card rerence material which prompts the same answers, usually Royal Road for books and Born to Perform on DVD. This is already on record if people looked. However, there are those who like Royal Road and there are those who hate it and the thread usually then takes off in this direction.

Often, a very valid question can be asked but the thread can become clouded and go off in different directions. It can create disagrement becasue of different points of view and replies can begin to offer the same advice as offered and debated on previous occasion, even though the question may be different.

This doesn't make it wrong to ask the question so don't worry about it.

This seems to be comming up alot recently (Not starting new threads). But its not like TalkMagic is going to suddenly run out of space. Also people have new views on things as time passes and thus my have different ideas than before to now post. I agree that one hundred nubees shouldn't suddenly join and ask everything that has already been posted, but I don't think it will hurt to start a few new onea. Its kinda like a fresh start.

New threads are appropriate when genuinely new topics are started. Otherwise, as mentioned elsewhere recently, it's far better to take the time and trouble to use the Search function and find a previous thread and then add to it. There's no benefit in starting new threads just for the sake of it and foks might just discover that their 'new' point of view has already been aired.

And just to add to that, it's worth while having a meaningful title when starting a new thread as well. Apart from having more people open it, it is also much more helpful for future searches...
