You guys have a lot to answer for!

Not only have I had to pay out for a new fridge and a new freezer, I'm now having to place another order for this stuff - I'm doing my best to be as economic as possible so the credit card has chance to cool down a little and then you start posting reviews like this - have you no pity?!! And as for Mr.Niedzwiecki producing such excellent items - words just fail me!!

Looking on the bright side, and assuming the fridge arrives Saturday afternoon as promised, at least I'll be able to enjoy a cold beer whilst waiting for the next delivery of magical mysteries! Of course, I could always go legit. and start performing magic for money - hmmmmm!

(Mandrake continues his musings and ramblings on a successful career in Magic - mainly involving the rather scantily clad female assistants. However, as this would involve some physical effort, Mandrake decides to remain a shambling amateur thus giving great reassurance to Copperfield, Burton, Blaine et al (Al who?) that their careers are not in any serious danger.)

As promised my package arrived yesterday. I haven't had a chance to look at it all in detail, but what I have seen and received is exactly what was promised.

I am very impreseed with the whole deal, and certainly the delivery. As i am still waiting on an order from Penguin which was placed 2 weeks before this one.

OK been working on the Pinnacle all weekend, am jsut about mastering Phase II, and have to say what a brilliant effect. My son who is as sharp as a Butchers knife and usually figures out most tricks is still nonethe wiser. A better endorsement you could not get. I cannot reccomend this or Russ's offer high enough.

One last thing, is Russ planning to come over and do a lecture tour or sales booth here in the near future?

Thanks Jabba!

I am very satisfied with the results to date, and your comments add to that as well. I appreciate the thumbs up.

Murphy's has advised me to begin the second run. The initial units have nearly been exhausted, which is great. Both Pinnacle AND Just Passin' Thru have sold faster than even expected, and there were high expectations from the start! I thank all of you who have selected these items to be your own.

It will be interesting to see what happens next!

welcome to the forum Russ.... although i have to wonder if you will be a regular contributer or just here to promote your effect?... heh heh heh

Russ seems to be on the ball keping up with postings in the UK regarding his effects. He sends individual messages with specific information (did you know his wife designed the DVD packaging and presentation etc?) and, from my own experience, I know he answers personal e-mails. It all makes a change form the lofty and aloof attitude that some celebrity folks present!

Hi Mog-

It's a pretty sure thing I wouldn't have known about the TalkMagic board if I hadn't been putting out these effects. Knowing that you are here, I'm doing what I can to juggle a full-time job, marketing (at this time) three effects, and responding to boards, e-mails, etc.. And then, I have a family that has at times had to be placed somewhere other than first.

So, in reality, I'm trying to do what's best, and accommodate as many as I can. Probably just like everyone else. Unfortunately, board comments can appear to look very self-serving when you are marketing an effect. Monty Python's "Super Absorbent String!" comes to mind (If you know this skit, you are likely laughing).

The description of an item, especially your own, can give the appearance that it is the greatest thing ever made. But I will tell you that there really have been very few negative comments. Probably 50 to 1. So, it's good for the market to know this.

When the items became available, I thought it would be best to be within reach. And I'm sure you probably know, you a re a little bit on a tightrope when fielding questions. Sometimes, I will fall.

Meanwhile, I'll just continue to do what I can, and hopefully, when there is time, I can post about other things with meaning.

I hope this didn't seem so much like a defense, Mog, as your statement was a very reasonable assumption.

Good Day!

Back to thread... (or rubber band!...)

During watching the Pinnacle DVD there are two things that are obvious...

1: Russ (or do we call you Mr Niedzwiecki? ) is very passionate about his creation. We all get enthusiastic about our own little miracles!
But the work required to get this effect anywhere near as polished and explanable as it is on the DVD is a monumental achievement. Well done, Russ!

2: The effect itself is breathtaking: the first time I saw it, I knew it would be highly talked about.

The concepts behind Russ's magic hinge on one premise: illusion.

Each of the three effects (MORE, MORE - we cry for more!) I have by Russ are excellent - and rely on much more than mere deception.

In the case of Switch-a-roo, a purely innocent and acceptable hand gesture/motion conceal the magic.

As for Pinnacle, the magic is in the belief by both the magi and the spectator.

And finally - last but not least, Just Passin Through - what can be said? Carries on where Misled leaves off.

Illusion? No, pure magic, by Russ.

So you agree it's OK then?! (I just wish you'd add a bit of enthusiasm to your messages sometimes!)

I agree that its good however it needs a huge sell. As obviously it's impossible. You need spare bands, which I have just ordered from Russ.

I will now have to learn some more tricks.

I can certainly recommend the book "Elastrix" by Ed Mishell and Prof. Abraham B. Hurwitz. It is really worth it just for the "Penetrating Bands" (aka Crazy Mans Handcuffs) trick.

I have also been recommended "Don Harlan's Rubber Band Magic" video(s). I haven't got this yet (so much to buy, so little money) so can't say one way or other myself.

I must admit I love rubber band magic - it really is do it anywhere anytime stuff as carrying around a rubber band would even be easy in a nudist camp. (which I don't do - just in case you wondered).

And if you'd like to see a sort of 'marriage' between playing cards and rubber bands, try:

Yeah, I saw that on Allmagic too...

Kind of like a LePaul spread - but with a gimmick!

Must say, by the way, you guys who DON'T frequent the AllMagic pages - it's a really nice source of FREE information.

Give it a go...

As for fusing rubber bands with cards - that's why God invented IET Loops...

Seige's quest to buy the TIES system comes back to haunt him, although his new source of IT beats TIES to the ground!
