And if you get a force deck in Black Tiger then you don't have to worry about ruining your nice deck - oh dear!

MagicAl asked:

The silver paint markers don't dry instantlly though do they? A la Sharpie?

If you buy gel pens then they don't. If you buy the marker pens then if they don't dry instantly then it's only a matter of seconds.

Has anyone got these yet. Do they have the same buttery feel as the Tigers? :)

I don't know the history of USPCC Cards, so forgive me if I have missed out some special editions - however, since I have been into magic it seemed as if most magicians either used Red / Blue Bikes or Tally's. Then Ellusionist seemed to revamp their site and product lines, set up a special deal with USPCC and developed the joint special Bicycle/Tally decks that appeared to sell really well (Vipers/Tigers/Ghost).

Now it seems to me that USPCC have noticed this trend and started to release their own (sole USPCC releases) - the pale green/blue/pink decks, the Elephant deck and now this new Black Deck - quite similar to the Ellusionist lines and maybe following the recent trend for unusual variations of the standard deck.

I wonder if Mr Christian is a little annoyed that Ellusionist seem to have lost the exclusivity of their 'special' decks? Saying that, I guess he does have his magical UV500 finish as an edge though ! :D

Actually, I think that the new Black Deck is a Rob Stiff production...

At least, it said so somewhere in this thred (didn't it?).

Do you prefere them to the Ellusionist Tigers/Vipers/Ghosts?

In terms of finish and quality they are every bit as good as the Black Tigers - which is to be expected as they're of USPC manufacture. There are 4 gaffed cards supplied but in the decks I received, no actual routines to use them with - I've asked about this as I was under the impression that some routines were automatically included but I'm probably wrong!

I'm sure that many existing ideas for 'normal' cards can be adapted and certainly it's possible to show the faces as all black and then, after suitable jiggery pokery, reveal that the cards now have faces - exactly the same idea as can be done with a regular white faced deck.

That's true. I've been wondering what can be done with the gaffed cards too.
Maybe chewing them isnt the best use.

Actually, if you look at the demo vid referred to http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/sutra66444.p ... ght=#66444 you'll see all the gaffed cards in use and it's fairly straight forward to figure out what needs to be done. I'm not saying I can do it but I can see what's involved :D !
