firstly; I AM A STUDENT (that should explain a lot of this).

secondly, my budget seemed to go somewhat out of the window last semester leading to the massive financial crisis i am now entering.

anyone got any practical tips for living on say 3pound20 a week?
i already do all my shopping at Lidl, and charity shops. and an operation will leave me bed bound for a lot of summer so no real chance to make it back there. I'm just praying i can somehow make it to next year without having to get a loan.

HELP! please

(or i could start the "stop-Larry-from-starving food drive" and see how many people would send me a packet of biscuits or a tin of beans)

ah yes, i could've included something about not really having enough time to get a job around here. although a barjob would be a good idea, there's a few thousand students who all want a bar job and have a let of a lot more experience (and looks) than me =no luck. i could only really fit in a few hours a week, due to having shed loads of work to do, and those kind of things go to the local 15 year olds who will work for about 2quid an hour. and no-one seems to want maths/juggling/magic tuition

but good idea about the sarnies though, ill have to ask about with a couple of barfolk i know.

1. Get a free domain name and hosting (eg. www.HUNGRYLARRY.co.uk)
2. Get all your student mates to help you make some signs, 'www.hungrylarry.co.uk', and posters. Put a pic of yourself on the posters/signs
3. Contact your local press, tell them you have a donations website set up
4. Set up a website, explaining the situation, and ask for donations
5. Put something 'meaningless' on eBay, i.e. your last baked bean tin
6. Tell the press, "It's so bad in Britain for students, I am even having to sell my last baked bean tin—which I was saving to collect pennies in"

I am SURE that there's mileage in it somewhere!

hehehehehhehe

PS... I am not joking! This could be very feasible!

also try asking your local cake shop if the have any day old loaves or cakes, usualy left for the birds, that you can take off there hands.

night security is a good job you get time to studie and practise your magic as well as getting paid for working.

some resturants will do you a meal in exchange for washing up which can work out a good deal.

i should make it the "stop larry from starving" thread on here and see who would be so kind to a lowly student.

i think i'll start putting random things on eBay. or perhaps just trying to sell off PDF files or something.
think if i put something totally stupid on then some people might think it's a charity thing and bid? if i never mention charity then it's hardly fraud!

As we all suffer from CUPS and are totally skint 99% of the time through buying all this totally essential magic stuff, you may easily starve if you rely on TM  !

But don't worry - as you slowly slip into unconsciousness, we'll all come round and do some flourishes, a few coin and rope effects and perhaps a finale involving canes, silks and doves. No, on second thoughts, forget the doves - you'd probably try to eat them (I think we'd better cancel the cake from hat and rabbit production routines as well).

Wouldn't you just know there would be an existing thread? Check out http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic5479.p ... ht=meeting
