The Prestige

Postby pdjamez » Jan 26th, '06, 18:03

Some pictures from the filming of The Prestige have been published on the web. It looks like a great cast and with Christopher Nolan running the show, this movie may be a major kick in the pants for the magic community.

Hugh Jackman as Rupert Angier
Christian Bale as Alfred Borden

Sorry, I couldn't find any pictures of Scarlett Johansson.

Fantastic!

With David Bowie as Tesla! Oh, Tesla... how come when we mention 'father of electricity' people say 'Edison'? It was surely Tesla, and his alternating current, which has given us 'modern mains' power. Now this was the guy who gave meaning to AC-DC!!! heheheheh

Should be a good film—Christian Bale went way up in my estimations after I saw the Machinist. He practically wasted away to a cocktail stick weight-wise for the role, and it's something which really stuck with me.

Looking forward to this immensely. Never read the book, but I can imagine it will be a corker.

And don't worry about the Scarlett pics... I'm still recovering over having a life-sized cutout of Kate Beckinsdale in leather lycanthrope-slaying catsuit presented to me recently (Underworld 2—and no, I'm not talking about the subsidiary branch of Mike Baldwins' underwear company)

:D

More movie news.

Edward Nortons movie The Illusionist has won rave reviews at the Sundance Festival.

Its going to be a bumper year for movies. Being a magician is going to be super cool once again.
