Ok i blame me! and I didn't think it was a word either, allthough some one has to invent words before they are words so maybe he is on to something. I shall contact the O.E.D at once!

I think the problem with the way your hand looked, is the simple fact that the camera can't be distracted. In a performance with live spectators, you can easily draw attention away from the other hand.

Blame the camera for the fact that we SEE how awkward his hand looks (it does look strange - so practice your palming and holds a bit more). The actual vanish was done well.
