Thats it i am trading in my topper for a baseball cap

I agree he is putting him self out there, but when this whole movement of Chavs dies will we still be talking about him in a years time? I agree with stevebo you going show your self fanning fan nicley. He will fade out unlike the rest of us though he has had more exposoure then we probley will ever have.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

The pictures... he should definitely learn some new displays rather than showing the same one over and over again. And also learn to fan a bit better.

Steve have you found that specs just don't react as strongly when your fan isn't perfect?

As I mentioned earlier, I see no comparison to his appeal to 'Chavs'. Could you please elaborate on what your definition of a Chav is, and why you reference a comparison?

Secondly, 'fade out unlike the rest of us'... you refer to yourself as a skilled hobbyist. Sorry to pick bones, but surely you can't seriously be hinting to purport that you are somehow at a level where you expect Dynamo will descend to?

I am really sorry to have brought this up, but it is angering me how much the 'younger' magicians on here feel so resentful against Dynamo.

I may be wrong, but there seems to be a divide in opinion: the members around the age of 20 generally seem to knock-back the lad, whilst the older over-30 magicians (sorry, 'older' meaning older than 20's) seem to welcome him into the world.

I can't really begin to understand why, but I stand by my comments of the green eyed monster.

Hmm yeah interesting...

Anyway if you would like to read a bit about "Dynamo", I read this article on Channel 4 a couple of weeks ago (quick google search). I don't particulary agree with the reporter's views on Paul Daniels, but I think it's just a nice article from a lay person's perspective.

Hallelujah!

What a fantastic find. Hopefully of some interest, and a lesson learned that getting a little 'background' on someone before destroying them is an honourable thing to do ;)

I suddenly feel so old. At 32! Good point though.

Ok well I'm 19 same as Dynamo and I'm not envious of him in the slightest. Now that's probably because I've only been doing magic for about a year. But I doubt my opinion would be different if I'd been practicing magic for 5 years. I don't like Dynamo. It's got nothing to do with the fact that he's 'hit the big time', it's just the hip hop style and attitude has always seemed pretty stupid to me. Just loads of people trying to act hard and macho - I feel sorry for them. Sorry that they had to resort to that kind of attitude. Dynamo says in that article that he "had to do magic" to make it in life. I don't buy it. I'm not saying anything about the guys magical abilities, he seems pretty good. It's just the same reaction I have whenever a rap artist or whatever says that hip hop was his "only way out". Ok so now hip hop used to be the "only way out" of the ghetto, now add magic to the list. Hmm yeah or go to school! But of course Dynamo "didn't like school" so that was a no no.

But yeah best of luck to Dynamo. He hasn't captivated me, but then I'm not in his target audience. It's all marketing.

Nope. But, for a picture, I'd prefer to see a fan that shows all the indexes.

Yeah but very often these pics are impromptu and frankly it's only magicians and then only a certain type of magician that even notices these things.
