Hi Everybody,
Just thought I would introduce myself to anybody that is intrested.
I have had an off and relationship with magic since I was a kid, wife and kids have made sure its been more off over the last few years.
my Intrest has been rekindled over the last few months and I can't believe the selection of magic that is now availible.
I am currently stuck in that beginners stage where every seach, thread, review & demo leads towards another purchase.
I have the following tricks, either purchased recently or stuck in that magic draw everyone has.
Twisted sisters (not removed it from the packet yet, iam currently trying to learn the EC to enhance it)
Card warp
Invisble deck
Eddie gibson 3 coin monte
Stripper deck
Double crossed by Daryl
coin squeeze
Feelwill
nearly killer key and coin unique LOL
a few pack of bikes
the royal road to magic

the trouble I have is that I dont know where to start with what I have.
Any recomendations would be great in relation to effort against reward with the above.
I keep finding mysef flitting from one to the other, not building enough confidence to carry off any of them.
If you have made it this far with all my problems pour yourself a drink and relise how lucky you are LOL!!

best regards

Hi and welcome to TM m8

It sounds like you're pretty much in the same boat as myself - buy/learn a new trick, play with it a while and then put it down and move on to another one, never really perfecting each one. Although I gotta say, just recently I've learnt a few new routines, was quite impressed with the method behind the trick, and this, I think, prompted me to spend more time than usual praticing the trick. The end result - I now got a few tricks I can safely say I feel quite comfortable handling - the two that immediately spring to mind being "Dreamweaver by Enchantment" and "Criss Angel's coin to soda can".

If I was you, I'd concentrate on a few tricks you like, or feel comfortable with, and focus your efforts on these - don't end up a "Jack of all trades, master of none"

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Hi and welcome to TM - I'm surprised that nobody else has said this so I'll do it! Your stash of goodies includes RRTCM and some decks of Bikes so that's a good place to start if you're into card stuff. Packet tricks like Twisted Sisters are a slightly easier way to perform miracles and ought to get you some good feedback without hours of practicing knuckle busting sleights. Invisible and Stripper Decks can, if they're the same colour/pattern as each other and the same as Bikes, be interchanged for different effects but the specs will only remember one deck of cards being used. Darryl's stuff is always good and is worth working with until you get it right. After all that you can go berserk and buy a lot more new stuff!
