Hello there

Postby Johndoe » Feb 9th, '06, 15:10

Hi Thought I would pop in a see what things are like over here.

I'm a close up magician. Been doing magic for as long as I can remember my dad is an "uncle magic" aficionado.

I work in the VIP of a club and do private parties.

My favourite magic is my cigarette routine but my strongest is probably my watch and pulse stop combo.

Currently trying to move away from gimmicks and improve my sleights.

Hi and welcome to TM

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Thank you for the warm welcome.

So when do I get the PM's from the admins begging me to join the secret areas?

Actually to all those people who haven't been part of a secret area on a magic site yet it isn't what you think it is, in my expereince it's just more of the same but a little more relaxed about mentioning things like the TT.

Is that the case here?

pretty much the same as things on magicbunnys secret areas

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

I thought I recognised the name. Do they still have massive flamewars in the mentalism area of the hutch? It is a silly place and not at all fluffy.

No offence Tomo but the hutch is cool. The mentalism bits no longer get as heated since a couple of key players in those debates disappeared.

I have had loads of great advice and learnt some cool new things from some great people on there so knock it.

   talk of the devil

Talkmagic does not and will not condone nor allow topics and discussions to form where we feel that theatrical means, methods and styles and techniques of presentation of "Mentalism" and "Bizarre" effects are being exploited or even considered for the purposes of presenting these effects other than as theatrical entertainment.

Yet the writer of this seems to be taking part

FYI: The writers of those rules and regs were the Moderators.

I knew that and I didn't mean to be offensive but surely the rules are there for all. The arguments in the hutch got pretty silly sometimes and personally I think the rule is a good one.

Mental magic discussions got destroyed by members on both sides who couldn't let the topic of pyschics and such things drop.

OK, I read it that you thought the writer of the rules was just one person. Must go get more coffee!
