Hello, I'm Scriptorilsky and I come from Croatia. I'm 18 years old and I've been trying to learn magic tricks ever since I can remember. Even though it seems a long period I would still call myself an eager newbie because i have never taken this stuff too serious. (especially seeing some 14-year-old kids performin some great stuff on video on this board). I tried to study card tricks through books like "The Royal Road To Card Magic" (Jean Hugard, Frederick Braue) and "Encyclopedia of Card tricks" (also edited by Hugard) etc. and have found it very difficult. I've asked a local magician (who is also a solid card conjurer) for an advice on some literature and his response was something like: "don't learn tricks through books, learn them through video seminars of great magicians" so I came to this board with strong will and hope that one day I'll become at least as good as an average amateur hobbyist.
